Delete your account

This page explains what account deletion covers for BandBinder pilot participants and how to request it.

What deletion covers

  • Your account. Your Google sign-in identity is removed from BandBinder, and you will no longer be able to sign in.
  • Your cloud-synced library. Songs, setlists, and other content you created that is not shared with a band library is deleted from our cloud database (Firestore). See the band-shared content section below for content you contributed to a shared band.
  • Your cloud backups. Any device backups stored in our Cloud Storage are deleted.
  • Local device data. Data on your device belongs to you. It is not deleted remotely - it simply stops syncing once your account is removed. You can uninstall the app to clear it.

Band-shared content

If you contributed songs or content to a shared band library, that content is detached from your identity rather than deleted. Removing it entirely would destroy content the rest of the band depends on, which is not something we do unilaterally. If you want specific shared content removed as well, note that in your request and we will work with you on it.

How to request deletion

  1. Email [email protected] from the address you use to sign in to BandBinder.
  2. Use the subject line: Delete my account.
  3. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and reply to confirm.
