These are the terms for using the BandBinder app and website. We've written them in plain language on purpose. The short version: the free app is really free, subscriptions are billed through Stripe and you can cancel anytime, your content stays yours, and you're responsible for having the rights to what you import.

The free app

The free tier is the full app - unlimited songs, setlists, and offline Performance Mode - on every supported device, forever, with no ads. It is not a trial and these terms never convert it into one.

Subscriptions

Solo Plus and the Band Plan are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or annually. The Band Plan is priced per band, never per member - members join free with a band code. Additional bands you lead can be added to a Band Plan for an add-on price.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Prices shown at checkout are what you pay; founder pricing stays locked in for as long as your subscription remains active, and lapses if the subscription ends.

Cancelling

Cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals; whatever period you've already paid for stays active until it ends. When a subscription ends, nothing is taken away from your devices: your library stays readable and exportable everywhere, forever - sync and the paid features simply pause. Refund questions: contact support; nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

Your content

The charts, setlists, and notes you create or import are yours. You give us permission to store them and transmit them - to your own devices, and to your band members where you've shared them - solely to run the service. We don't sell your content and we don't claim any ownership of it.

Copyright

BandBinder does not supply lyrics or charts; everything in your library is content you imported or wrote. You're responsible for having the right to the material you import and share. If you believe content stored through BandBinder infringes your rights, contact support and we'll respond promptly.

Bands

Content shared to a band's library is visible to every member of that band. The band manager controls membership. When you leave a band, you keep your own content; the band keeps the shared library.

Your account

Keep your sign-in method secure and your email reachable - it's how we contact you about your subscription. An account is for one person; a band code is how the rest of the band joins.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service, and don't use it to infringe anyone else's rights.

The service itself

We build BandBinder so a gig never depends on us: Performance Mode runs entirely offline from your device's own library. That's by design, because no online service can promise perfect uptime, and we don't. The service is provided as-is; to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

Ending or changing things

You can delete your account at any time - see the account deletion page; export is always available first. We can suspend accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms as the product grows; if a change materially affects a paid subscription, we'll tell you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada.
